Welcome to the first edition of the JETA newsletter.
Twice a year, we’ll share updates from across the company. The first half of 2026 reflected the strength of our people, the progress of our companies, and our commitment to scaling sustainable businesses across Africa.
Our companies expanded their services, opened new facilities, and strengthened their presence in the markets they serve.
We launched the brand playbook, the JETA website, and the Marketing Toolkit to ensure consistent communication across all teams. We also introduced a new intranet that centralises news, templates, and resources, along with group-wide policies for onboarding, expenses, and compliance.
In June, we held our first company-wide Children’s Day. It was a great reminder of the sense of community that connects our companies.
So far, this year has been filled with great moments, and we’re excited to see what the coming months have in store.

On 1 June, ALIVA opened a dedicated Paediatric Inpatient Ward at Aliva Clínica de Luanda.
Operating 24 hours a day, the unit serves children from one month to 16 years of age and is staffed by 18 rotating paediatricians, supported by round-the-clock nursing care. The new ward fills a critical gap in private paediatric healthcare in Luanda.
ALIVA also remains one of Angola’s leading voices in health education, delivering community workshops with ENSA, broadcasting health content through Rádio MFM, and reaching tens of thousands through its digital channels.
ALIVA will continue its expansion strategy with the opening of its first community health centre in Patriota in July, bringing quality healthcare closer to more communities across Angola.

2026 brought significant recognition.
At WHX Dubai 2026, the YAPAMA–Philips partnership was recognised for delivering three major hospital projects in Angola, with two additional projects planned. YAPAMA also expanded partnerships with global healthcare companies, including Abbott and Fujifilm.
YAPAMA also participated in the 12th International Congress of the Africa Society for Blood Transfusion in Namibia, helping shape blood safety policy across the region. The company runs a national blood donation campaign and remains a leading operator in Angola’s blood systems.
In August, YAPAMA will open a new warehouse in Luanda. The facility includes a showroom, demonstration room, technical repair centre, and training rooms, strengthening capacity to support larger operations and future growth.

One of the most exciting developments during the first half of 2026 was the launch of NC+.
NC+ is a modular platform that brings telemedicine, connectivity, digital payments, and education into a single solar-powered community hub. With plans for up to 300 hubs nationwide, NC+ has the potential to expand access to essential services across Angola. The prototype is in its final stages.
A key highlight of the period was the company’s participation in ANGOTIC 2026, where NEW COGNITO presented its vision for Angola’s digital future and contributed to discussions on operations and inclusion.
Throughout the period, the company supported clients across healthcare, financial services, government, and industry while receiving multiple partner awards from leading global brands.
